Mirrored tracks of the sun are an allegory of photography’s ontological essence – the movement of light, its transmission and perception. At the same time, in this sequence of photographs a brief but incomplete history of religions and mythological thinking reveals.
This series is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of pacifist sign, the sign of peace and hippie movement of the middle of the last century, the first awakening of youth's interest to meditation and Oriental religions.
*Speaking figuratively, photography might be designated by the Russian "Solntsevorot” ( i.e. “sun’s turnover"). In this word, in its deep sense – to return, to reflect, to rotate - is the very essence of photography; the movement of light, its transmission and perception.
